Frommer's Review
Set away from busy Deep Creek Lake -- but close enough to get there or to Cumberland in 20 minutes -- this lovely 1870 inn on 6 1/2 acres may be the perfect getaway choice. In addition to its classic Victorian style, its location puts visitors right in the middle of the goings-on in Grantsville. You can visit Spruce Forest Artisan Village down the street, dine at Penn Alps, and take a walk or fish along the Casselman River. Guest rooms differ in size and amenities; some have a fireplace, microwave, or CD player. Two separate cottages make the escape complete. New owners have injected a little art into the place: Julyen has installed a gallery in the barn on the property, while Cathy teaches Feldenkrais classes (which she says are popular with musicians and dancers, and can help anyone move better).
Facilities:
Sauna; massage; guest access to fridge and coffeemaker; video library; gift shop
