In the prestigious Rock Hotel, this is the single finest dining room on Gibraltar. From your table, you can enjoy views across the bay to the Spanish coastline and Morocco. Chefs feature both an a la carte menu and a daily changing menu. The seafood is fresh, and other top-quality dishes include pan-roasted filet of lamb with a basil salsa, and a delectable seared filet of beef served with grilled baby leeks and a truffle foie gras. The starters are especially appealing and imaginative; we loved the pumpkin-and-pancetta risotto and the wok-seared black-pepper beef with asparagus and a charred pineapple salad. For dessert, try chocolate soufflé pancakes with cold vanilla custard.
