Frommer's Review
This is hardly our favorite hotel in Gibraltar, but on the overcrowded Rock it might come in handy in a pinch. Queen's Hotel is close to the bottom station of the cable car that travels to the top of the Rock. It's a rather plain, tall building in an area that gets heavy traffic. The furnishings are very dark and Spanish, with regional artifacts scattered about. Bedrooms are midsize and comfortably, though not stylishly, furnished. The high-ceilinged lobby is genteel but a bit shabby. Public rooms include a spacious lounge, a bar, and a sun terrace. The central shopping area, Main Street, is a short walk away.
Facilities:
Restaurant; bar; babysitting; laundry service

Frommer's ranks every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment it reviews for quality, value, service, amenities, and special features using a star-rating scale, an expression of the strong compare-and-contrast opinions that are a brand hallmark.
Other ratings provide stars based primarily on price and amenities; the Frommer's star rating is meant to quantify the kind of intangible, experiential elements that help travelers make informed decisions.
The "baseline" recommendation is zero stars--every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment that Frommer's chooses to review is recommended; otherwise, we simply wouldn't include it.
