Getting There--The closest cities to the park with airline service are Kalispell, 29 miles (47km) southwest of the park, and Great Falls, 143 miles (230km) southeast of the park.
Glacier Park International Airport, north of Kalispell at 4170 U.S. 2 (tel. 406/257-5994), is serviced by Delta, Horizon, Big Sky, and Northwest. Great Falls International Airport (tel. 406/727-3404) is served by these same airlines.
If you're driving, you can reach the park from U.S. Highways 2 and 89. Rental cars are available in Kalispell, Great Falls, Whitefish, East Glacier, and West Glacier. Avis, Budget, Hertz, Sears, and National all have counters at Kalispell's airport. Hertz, Avis, and National have counters at Great Falls International Airport.
Amtrak's Empire Builder (tel. 800/872-7245; www.amtrak.com), a Chicago-Seattle round-trip route, makes daily stops at West Glacier and Essex year-round and seasonally at East Glacier.
