Located in St. Mary Lodge, the Snowgoose Grille is a high-priced alternative to park food. The ambience is upscale for these parts--a glass-enclosed dining room with views of the mountains and the creek. The restaurant specializes in elegant preparation of Montana-style food like wild boar, elk medallions, buffalo, and their signature fresh St. Mary Lake whitefish. They are aided in these efforts by having their own bakery, butcher shop, and smokehouse, and they make their own buffalo sausage, hot dogs, and jerky. Lunch entrees include typical restaurant sandwiches with fancy names like the "Garden Wall," filled with such diverse items as turkey and buffalo steak.
