Frommer's Review
There is no electricity and no running water in the lower-priced cabins, let alone bedding--it's bring your own sleeping bag or linens at the Merc. The $65 "luxury" cabin has a bathroom and running water in the kitchenette. Each cabin has a propane cooking stove and lights, and the views out over the west side of Glacier National Park make the price tag a steal, especially if you brought the kids. There's also a basic teepee that will keep the rain off your head. This may sound like an adventure in hell, but Polebridge is a happening spot in the summer when all the river rats and seasonal residents converge for good times and tall tales about the rapids they've run and their mountaineering adventures. The Mercantile sells canned goods, hot sandwiches, and souvenir T-shirts. There is a bakery with great baked goods.
