Taxis are plentiful in Golfito, and are constantly cruising the main road from the outskirts of town to the duty-free port, often at alarming speeds. A taxi ride anywhere in town should cost under C1,000. Local buses also ply this loop. The fare for the bus is about C400.
If you drive down here and head out to one of the remote lodges on the gulf, you can leave your car at Samoa del Sur for around $12 per day.
