This campground's advantage is its location: Just a mile south of the park entrance, it lies within easy walking distance of stores and restaurants on one side and of Kaibab National Forest on the other. Its disadvantages are its relatively narrow (average width: 27 ft.) campsites, the noise from the nearby Grand Canyon National Park Airport, and the throngs of people at the campground itself. At least the restrooms are clean, and the showers (75¢ for 6 min.) hot. There's also a playground and a gravel basketball court.
