Frommer's Review
On the south shore of the island, this cozy, elegant landmark lies about a 30-minute drive east of George Town. The creative menu mainly features fresh local seafood. Daily offerings by the well-trained chef attract both locals and visitors. Put yourself in the hands of the mostly European staff and sit back to enjoy a tempting appetizer such as tuna sushi rolled in sesame seeds. For your main course, opt for the mixed grill of Caribbean seafood; lobster with gnocchi and shrimp; filet mignon with brandy-flavored cream sauce; a penne pasta with shrimp, asparagus, tomatoes, and pesto; or a veal chop topped with Gorgonzola and pancetta ham. Pastas include Mediterranean fettuccini with herbs and grilled seasonal vegetables or perhaps penne with shrimp, asparagus, tomatoes, and pesto. The restaurant has one of the best wine cellars on the island. Adjacent to the restaurant is a life-size replica of a lighthouse, the restaurant's trademark and signature, visible for many miles out to sea.
