Hip, breezy, European, and urban, this restaurant sits one floor above the landmark liquor store Big Daddy's, immediately adjacent to the Treasure Island Hotel. You might expect to encounter Mezza's in South Beach, Miami. Lunches are simple, featuring steak sandwiches, burgers, Caesar salads, and seafood pasta. The dinner menu is more artful, and includes bacon-wrapped mahimahi, basil-encrusted salmon steaks, sautéed shrimp with wine sauce and asparagus, steak au poivre with pommes frites, and sautéed lobster with curry-flavored cream sauce. Caramel-pecan fudge cake and the crème brûlée make for enticing desserts. Many main courses are priced at the lower end of the scale noted below. Mezza's is also appealing as a wine bar, a role it's pursuing thanks to the input of its über-hip German-born co-owner. If you're here for the wine, consider an "appetizer platter," priced at CI$12 (US$15/£7.20), with five starters, that pairs well as a foil for wine.
