Frommer's Review
Fine dining in an atmosphere of Western elegance is what you'll experience at the Winery, which we rate as one of the best restaurants in Grand Junction. The dining room, of redbrick and weathered barn wood, is decorated with lots of plants, stained glass, and wine barrels and bottles. It's hard to go wrong here. We especially enjoy the prime rib (get there early -- it often sells out) and the grilled salmon with herb butter. The salmon and catch of the day are always fresh. Also recommended is the filet Oscar -- filet mignon and asparagus, covered in a lobster/crab Newburg sauce. You can also get a variety of steaks, steak and seafood combos, rack of lamb, or pork chops. For dessert we suggest the homemade apple crisp with streusel topping, or the Palisade, the restaurant's signature dessert that is much too complicated for us to try to describe here.
