Frommer's Review
Inspired by Pablo Picasso, who forever changed the art world with his revolutionary creations, Pablo's Pizza strives for the same sort of impact on our taste buds. And it succeeds. Being purists, we had a simple pepperoni pizza, which was delicious. But for the adventuresome spirit, there are specialty pizzas such as Dracula's Nemesis -- garlic white sauce, roasted garlic, roasted red onion, chicken, green onions, and cheese; or Big Daddy's Rajun Cajun -- spicy hot tomato sauce, andouille sausage, shrimp, red and green bell peppers, and cheese. Or you can build your own, beginning with one of their eight sauces, and adding cheese, meats, vegetables, and even fruits. You can watch them make your pizza from the tossing of the crust to when they take it from the oven on a wooden paddle. The redbrick-and-white walls are decorated with Picasso-style original artwork, and the ceiling is of pressed tin. All in all, the place has a 1960s Greenwich Village-coffeehouse atmosphere. Pablo's also offers panini sandwiches, soups, salads, and desserts; plus has takeout and delivery service.
