Frommer's Review
A good place to step back into the 19th century, this impressive two-story adobe home was built in 1870 for Greeley founder Nathan Cook Meeker. Now on the National Register of Historic Places, it is furnished with original family belongings and period antiques, including a 10-foot-tall diamond-dust mirror. Interpretive panels discuss the history of Greeley and vicinity, with an emphasis on the family's struggle for survival after Nathan's death in the 1879 Meeker Massacre. Allow 30 minutes to 1 hour.
