A wide array of classical music, theater, dance, and popular music performances are held across the street at the foundation's red-barn Performing Arts Center and Gallery, Main Street, Hunter (tel. 518/263-4908; www.catskillmtn.org). Nostalgia buffs may want to catch a flick at the Drive-In Movie Theater (tel. 877/742-7675) on Route 296 between Hunter and Jewett; it's open seasonally, from May to September. A handful of bars and clubs on Main Street in Tannersville (just east of Hunter) cater to après-ski buffs in search of singles and dance action, though they've been a little more sophisticated and less rowdy in recent years.
