Swimming

For swimmers, there are outdoor pools at Southside Park and Eastside Park. Public sessions go for $3 per person. Hours are Monday to Friday 1 to 4pm for the first session and 4 to 6pm for the second session; Saturday and Sunday 1 to 5pm. The pools are usually open from June to August unless the water temperature is below 70°F (21°C). For information, call tel. 864/288-6470.
