Frommer's Review
Just 5 minutes' walk from China Plaza, Hui Ying is perhaps the best place on the planet to sample the most delicious Chang Fen, a kind of steamed rice-flour pasty served in soy sauce. Although it is massively popular with locals and busy at all times of the day and night, the only other foreigner that you will ever see here is the author. Ask for xian xia ji dan chang and you will get a tasty shrimp and egg dish that is the epitome of Guangzhou. Ask for some jok and you tiao and you will get some thick rice broth and tasty fried bread sticks for dipping. Fantastic fare at ultra-low prices and a secret that few other tourists will ever find.

Frommer's ranks every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment it reviews for quality, value, service, amenities, and special features using a star-rating scale, an expression of the strong compare-and-contrast opinions that are a brand hallmark.
Other ratings provide stars based primarily on price and amenities; the Frommer's star rating is meant to quantify the kind of intangible, experiential elements that help travelers make informed decisions.
The "baseline" recommendation is zero stars--every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment that Frommer's chooses to review is recommended; otherwise, we simply wouldn't include it.
