This bizarrely named hotel has large well-appointed rooms and yet retains a number of uniquely Chinese features such as steel thermoses of boiling water. Located just on the edge of the sprawling military district, most of its clients are either trainee teachers or army officers, with the occasional foreign tour group. Watch out for all the army-licensed SUVs that charge around nearby, immune to the law and seemingly unaware of pedestrians.
