Lodging rates are at their highest in Gunnison in summer and at Christmas. You'll usually find the lowest rates in late winter and early spring. Camping
In addition to the campgrounds in Curecanti National Recreation Area , you'll find dozens of sites scattered throughout the Gunnison National Forest and lands administered by the Bureau of Land Management (tel. 970/641-0471). Wildwood Resort also offers RV sites.
