Frommer's Review
Homemade Sonoran-style Mexican food is the fare at the Blue Iguana, a better-than-average fast-food restaurant in the Elk Horn Building, 2 blocks east of Main Street -- look for the big chrome sculpture of an elk out front. Inside, the decor is simple: picnic tables with red plastic coverings, and light-colored walls with bright red trim and red chile designs. Order at the counter and pick up your taco, burrito, enchilada, or combo plate when your name is called. We recommend either the burrito (it's huge) or the house specialty, a chimichanga -- a deep-fried flour tortilla stuffed with your choice of five fillings (shredded beef, beans, chicken, rice, green chile, red chile, and on and on), and topped with sour cream and guacamole. Locals consistently declare the Blue Iguana the best place for Mexican food -- and we agree!
