Radisson SAS Hotel Hamburg

This 27-story high-rise hotel is of real architectural interest. It looks like a collection of narrow black lines banded together vertically. Although it's very professionally run and has many winning features, we'd rank it after the Marriott. The medium-size rooms are beautifully appointed, many with paneled walls. Ten floors are reserved for nonsmokers. Children particularly enjoy this hotel -- it lies within sight of the botanical gardens and has a large breakfast buffet.
