Nha Tho, the short street that runs right up to the entrance of St. Joseph's Cathedral, is busy with shoppers and sightseers in the day, but after dark there's a hip, laid-back vibe as the restaurants and bars draw in hungry and thirsty tourists. Truth be told, it's more about food than drinking, but several smart cafes and restaurant bars such as La Salsa at #25 make for good meeting spots to begin an evening out. The little lanes off Ly Quoc Su to the north of the Cathedral are worth exploring too.
