Looking as though it belongs in a hipper city, this member of the highly successful Max chain continues to build upon its initial rush of popularity. Young execs and lawyers frequent it, enjoying a long menu of global grazing noshes including cheese fondues, sushi rolls, and lamb skewers with zucchini tzatziki. A smaller selection of main plates includes a perked-up meatloaf with roasted shallot-garlic sauce and seafood pad Thai. This is fun, diverting food -- tasty enough without distracting from the primary mingling.
