This glamorous hotel is by far Heidelberg's best. It fronts the city park in the heart of town, within walking distance of the castle and the university. Its interior is like that of a gracious home, with antiques, crystal chandeliers, and Oriental rugs. Some rooms and several suites face a quiet inside garden; front rooms in the oldest section tend to be noisy (from traffic). Nineteen have whirlpool tubs. The most dramatic recent improvement has been the addition of the Panorama Spa Club and the latest fitness equipment.
