On the top floor of the famous old Sokos Hotel Torni, site of many well-documented episodes of espionage during World War II, this is one of Helsinki's most famous bars, yet many visitors never find it. It welcomes many local artists and writers who don't seem to mind the cramped space. The walls are decorated with original paintings, some of them by regular patrons. Take the elevator up as far as it will go, and then you navigate a narrow iron staircase. Drinks cost 8€ ($13), and beer prices begin at 6.50€ ($10). It's open Monday to Saturday 2pm to 1am and Sunday from 2pm to midnight.
