Frommer's Review
This wisteria-covered coaching inn (ca. 1531) near Henley offers a guest list that reads like a hall of fame: Johnson and Boswell, George IV (who, it is said, consumed 14 mutton chops one night), and Charles I. You can book the room in which Princess Grace stayed when her brother Jack was competing in the Royal Regatta in 1947. Most of the well-furnished rooms overlook the Thames. Bedrooms are midsize to spacious, each with a small but well-organized private bathroom with a shower and tub. The three most expensive rooms sport four-poster beds.
