Getting There -- Hezuo has two bus stations. Most buses from Lanzhou arrive at the Central Bus Station, which is far more convenient than the new South Bus Station, in the far south of town. The Central Bus Station, Hezuo Qichezhan (tel. 0941/821-2422) has buses for Linxia (106km/66 miles; 2 hr.; ¥13/$1.65/80p) every 20 minutes from 6am to 5:40pm and Xia He (72km/45 miles; 1 1/2 hr.; ¥12/$1.55/80p) every 30 minutes between 6:30am and 5:50pm. Buses depart for Lanzhou (258km/160 miles; 5 hr.; ¥44/$5.65/£2.85) at 8am and 9am. Buses for Langmu Si (173km/107 miles; 5 hr.; ¥28/$3.65/£1.80) depart at 7am, 10:20am, and 12:20pm. There is a bus for Xining at 6:30am (331km/205 miles; 5 hr.; ¥51/$6.65/£3.30). The South Bus Station (Qiche Nan Zhan; tel. 0941/821-3039) has buses for Ruo'ergai (7 hr.; ¥46/$6/£3) in northern Sichuan at 7:30am and 10:30am; the latter continues on to Aba (583km/361 miles; ¥82/$11/£5.35) the following day.
