Frommer's Review
The newest jewel in the crown of the world-renowned Auberge Resorts, the Inn at Palmetto Bluff is an elegant, peaceful resort located on the May River. With the South Carolina Low Country as a backdrop, guests can walk through the beautiful gardens, play golf on the Jack Nicklaus signature course, relax in the full-service spa, enjoy water sports like kayaking and fishing, enroll your children in the kids' camp, take art classes, or enjoy a beach excursion. There is $25-per-day service fee per accommodation to be able to use the fitness center, kayaks, canoes, and outdoor lap pool. Accommodation choices include cottages, cottage suites, and village homes. Exquisitely appointed, the cottages and cottage suites have vaulted ceiling and hardwood pine floors, fireplaces, and screened porches. Both choices open onto water views. You can also choose to rent one of the village homes. With two to four bedrooms, full kitchens, screened porches, and luxury bed linens, the village homes are ideal for families. The Inn at Palmetto Bluff offers four dining options: the elegant River House Restaurant, with river views; the May River Grill at the May River Golf Club; Buffalo's, centrally located in the Village; or dining in your own cottage.
