Frommer's Review
The food is the star at this small restaurant and art cafe, although the atmosphere has its charms as well. Bi Bi's cozy interior is fashioned with bright Mediterranean-style furnishings and Impressionist paintings; the collection changes periodically. Chairs are embossed with names of notorious or beloved expat patrons past and present. A table near the front is devoted to drinking and card playing, and upstairs there are a few sofas for drinking and lounging. The menu is an interesting mix: cannelloni, ratatouille, pastas, and veal escalope, with fine hot and cold starters like salad with goat cheese and grilled items. The beef tenderloin is très bien. For dessert, there are perfectly done staples like crème brûlée, mousse, or homemade ice cream. The starters are almost as expensive as the main courses, and the short wine list comprises pricey selections, making this one of Saigon's more expensive choices. The food is well worth it, though, and service is seamless.
