Frommer's Review
Formerly the Prince, before becoming part of the popular Australian chain, the Duxton Saigon is efficient, affordable, and stylish (if a bit studied). Beige rooms are nice-size, tasteful, and comfortable, with plush beds, carpets, and coffeemakers. The bathrooms are smart black-and-white marble. The lobby, entered by swooping stairs from a circular drive and, inside, circled by a mezzanine, is classy but not overly grand. It's a good downtown meeting point. This place is popular with business travelers, especially those on an extended stay, who come here for all the comforts of home. The staff is efficient and personable. The second-floor spa offers excellent Hong Kong massage service, along with steam and Jacuzzi (ask about special midweek spa rates). Also try the authentic Japanese restaurant on the mezzanine floor. The hotel recently added a small rooftop swimming pool, which provides a nice, secluded place to cool off in the afternoons.
