Frommer's Review
Still the best and most convenient in-town address, the Hoi An Hotel was the first high-end hotel in Hoi An and it works hard to keep its reputation. As a result, it stays busy with lots of tour groups. The friendly staff does a great job and handles large numbers with a modicum of grace. Don't expect anything fancy, but rooms are unusually large and impeccably clean, with tile floors and comfortable beds -- older rooms are just as good for the money. Basic tile bathrooms are in good condition. The newest building has upscale rooms with dark wood floors and a fun, contemporary Chinese theme. The central pool is large, though often overcrowded. Their casual open-air dining facilities are good, and the folks at their tour desk are very helpful. Convenient to downtown sites.
