Frommer's Review
During the day, sunshine floods into this hotel's gigantic, vaulted ceiling lobby through big windows with lattice woodwork frames. The big fountain and oversized Chinese statues are less intimidating with all that sunshine. From the folks at Swiss-Belhotel International (they have properties in Halong City, Hanoi, and throughout the region), this hotel is on the southern end of Cua Dai. The resort is a large open campus on a cleared beach, and all rooms are set in big, square, three -story pavilions. Superior rooms are compact and far from the beach with limited views (mostly of other superior blocks), but they are done in a clean light-wood interior with lots of good amenities. Deluxe rooms are larger versions of the same, with smart red wood consoles at the head of each bed and silk-lined lamps, like Bauhaus architecture trying to look Asian. Ocean-side suites are absurdly luxurious with Jacuzzis surrounded by granite tile and a bidet. The ocean-side pool is enormous, 150m (490 ft.) long with funky little bridges spanning narrow channels and a good poolside bar and dining. Next to it is a mini-water park, with several slides and a big wading area, where all the ankle-biters happily splash about while Mom or Dad looks on from a chaise lounge.
Facilities: 2 restaurants (ocean-side and in a large block near the lobby); 2 pools; tennis courts; health club; spa; Jacuzzi; watersports rentals; bike rentals; children's center; tour desk; business center; shopping; salon; room service; babysitting; laundry service.
