If you're looking for beach access at a budget rate, Dong An might be your best choice. It attracts large groups at cut-rate prices; if you contact the hotel directly, you might get a good contract rate. Rooms are set in a large U shape around a central courtyard with a smallish pool. The staff is surly, but it's understandable considering the daily plague of locusts ascending. Though not spectacular, rooms are tidy and you're just a stone's throw from the Cua Dai Beach. This is like a high-end minihotel set in a larger-hotel atmosphere. Plan to use the services -- travel agents, car rental, and dining -- elsewhere, but this is a fine place to lie your head near the beach.
