ShoppingHopkins Village is a good place to find locally made Garífuna handcrafts. Rudy Coleman is a local drum maker, and his drums are excellent. Ask for Rudy around town, or at the Lebeha Drumming Center. It's worth the time to check out Joy Jah's studio and shop, which is located near the southern edge of the village. The folks here specialize in woodcarvings and paintings done on dry coconut husks, mostly in the shape of fish. They also carry a selection of arts and crafts from around Belize.
