Getting There
The port city of Huelva has good rail links with the rest of Spain. RENFE trains arrive at Avenida de Italia (tel. 90-224-02-02; www.renfe.es). There are three to four trains per day from Seville, taking 1 1/2 hours and costing 7€ ($11) one-way.
Huelva also has bus links to Cádiz; the ride takes a long 5 hours. One bus a day pulls into Huelva and costs 20€ ($32) for a one-way ticket. There are also buses from Seville, perhaps 18 to 30 per day, taking 1 1/4 hours and costing 8€ ($13) for a one-way ticket. The bus station is at Avenida Dr. Rubio (tel. 95-925-69-00; www.damas-sa.es).
If you're driving, most motorists arrive from Seville. Follow E-1 (also called A-49) west from Seville. There is no coastal road linking Cádiz and Huelva. Motorists from Cádiz head north on an express highway, E-5 (also A-4), and then cut west toward Huelva south of Seville.
Visitor Information
The tourist office is near the bus station at Plaza Alcade Cota Mora 2 (tel. 95-965-50-200; www.andalucia.org). It's open Monday to Friday 9am to 7:30pm, Saturday and Sunday 9:30am to 3pm. The Patronato Provincial de Turismo de Huelva, Calle Fernando el Catolico 18 (tel. 95-925-74-67; www.turismohuelva.org), is open Monday to Friday 8am to 2pm.
