Getting There -- Hveragerði and Selfoss are both along Route 1. Frequent buses run daily from BSÍ terminal in Reykjavík to both towns, which are routine stops in many southern itineraries. A ticket to Selfoss is around 1,300kr ($21/£11). Þingvallaleið (tel. 511-2600; www.bustravel.is) has one daily bus to and from Eyrarbakki and Stokkseyri via Þorlákshöfn, and one daily runs connects Selfoss to Eyrarbakki and Stokkseyri.
