Frommer's Review
On a rocky point of land at the southern tip of Ile d'Orléans stands this country inn and restaurant with a wraparound porch. This building is a virtual replica of the 1880 Victorian house that stood here until 1996. That one burned to the ground, leaving nothing but the staircase. This one manages to retain the period flavor with tufted chairs, Tiffany-style lamps, and a few antiques. All rooms are individually furnished and face the water, and first-floor units have small terraces. There are two apartments for groups or longer stays. The river slaps at the foundation of the glass-enclosed terrace dining room, which is a grand observation point for watching cruise ships and Great Lakes freighters steaming past.
