Golf The Inishowen is a major center for golf in Ireland, and it has four 18-hole golf courses. Two are at the Ballyliffin Golf Club, Ballyliffin, County Donegal (tel. 074/937-6119; www.ballyliffingolfclub.com). The "Old Links" is a par-71 course with greens fees of €60; the "Glashedy Links" course costs €70. The North West Golf Club, Fahan, Buncrana, County Donegal (tel. 074/936-1027; www.northwestgolfclub.com), founded in 1890, is a par-69 seaside course with greens fees of €30 weekdays, €35 weekends. Greencastle Golf Course, Greencastle, County Donegal (tel. 074/938-1013), is a par-69 parkland course with greens fees of €25 weekdays, €35 weekends. Watersports The Inishowen's long coastline, sandy beaches, and combination of open ocean and sheltered coves provide great opportunities for watersports. The northwest coast presents some of the most challenging surfing conditions in Europe.
