Frommer's Review
Located one flight above the lobby level of a government-rated four-star hotel, this popular restaurant is a favorite of the international business community, and it's romantic enough for intimate celebrations as well. In an attractive setting with potted palms, the restaurant is named for Emperor Maximilian's best-known and most popular court jester. Menu items emphasize a combination of Scandinavian, Austrian, and international foods, some of the best examples of which appear at the lunchtime buffet. We consider it, with its trio of meats and large array of salads, one of the most appealing options in town. A la carte items include such Nordic specialties as noisettes of reindeer with forest mushrooms and braised red cabbage, and such Austrian dishes as Wiener schnitzels, tafelspitz, saddle of veal steak in a morel-studded cream sauce, and a perfectly prepared version of grilled sole with lemon butter.
