Al Dente ReviewPart of the Italian craze sweeping Innsbruck, this modern restaurant turns out an array of reasonably priced and good-tasting Italian and Mediterranean-style dishes that are based on market-fresh ingredients. There's a beer garden and a terrace (May-Oct) for your added enjoyment. The salads are freshly made, with crisp lettuce, and served with creamy dressings. You can order your pastas with such zesty sauces as marinara, or perhaps a creamy carbonara or a well-flavored ragout. They do not serve meat of any kind. A casual, relaxed ambience prevails, and the trattoria is suitable for everyone from singles to families. For the most part, waiters are fluent in English, and a welcoming atmosphere prevails. Frommer's ranks every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment it reviews for quality, value, service, amenities, and special features using a star-rating scale, an expression of the strong compare-and-contrast opinions that are a brand hallmark.
Other ratings provide stars based primarily on price and amenities; the Frommer's star rating is meant to quantify the kind of intangible, experiential elements that help travelers make informed decisions.
The "baseline" recommendation is zero stars--every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment that Frommer's chooses to review is recommended; otherwise, we simply wouldn't include it.
