Hotel Innsbruck Review

This modern, streamlined, and comfortable hotel facing the Inn River is favored by upscale tourists and international business travelers. The staff is hardworking and multilingual. The furnishings in the rooms aren't remarkable, but all the beds are firm and the neatly kept bathrooms contain tub/shower combinations. The best rooms are on an upper floor and have small balconies; the dormer rooms on each floor are also superior. If you're stuck in one of the accommodations in the back, you'll do fine -- in some respects, these are the coziest and most romantic rooms, opening onto vistas of the Altstadt.

The hotel contains two restaurants, one outfitted in a woodsy Tyrolean style with plenty of paneling, rustic accessories, and dirndl-clad waitresses. Unfortunately, most of the year, the restaurants cater to groups by reservation only. In such times, the hotel staff will recommend a nearby dining choice, even offering car service upon request. There's also a glassed-in winter garden for drinks, light meals, and coffee.

Facilities:
2 restaurants; bar; lounge; indoor heated pool; sauna; room service; massage; babysitting; laundry service; dry cleaning; nonsmoking rooms; winter garden; rooms for those w/limited mobility

About Our System

Frommer's ranks every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment it reviews for quality, value, service, amenities, and special features using a star-rating scale, an expression of the strong compare-and-contrast opinions that are a brand hallmark.

Other ratings provide stars based primarily on price and amenities; the Frommer's star rating is meant to quantify the kind of intangible, experiential elements that help travelers make informed decisions.

The "baseline" recommendation is zero stars--every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment that Frommer's chooses to review is recommended; otherwise, we simply wouldn't include it.
