Review of Restaurant Fischerhausel BarAlthough a lot of its business derives from its busy first-floor restaurant, the street-level bar also adds appeal. Rustically outfitted in a modernized version of the Tyrolean style, it's open Monday to Saturday from 10am to 11:30pm and Sunday 6 to 11:30pm. No one will mind if you remain in the bar, quaffing schnapps or suds or whatever, but if you opt to eventually migrate up to the dining room, a tagesmenu (fixed-price menu) will cost 8.40€ to 20€ ($13-$31). During warm weather, drinkers and diners tend to move out to the garden in back, soaking up the sunlight and the brisk alpine air. Frommer's ranks every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment it reviews for quality, value, service, amenities, and special features using a star-rating scale, an expression of the strong compare-and-contrast opinions that are a brand hallmark.
Other ratings provide stars based primarily on price and amenities; the Frommer's star rating is meant to quantify the kind of intangible, experiential elements that help travelers make informed decisions.
The "baseline" recommendation is zero stars--every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment that Frommer's chooses to review is recommended; otherwise, we simply wouldn't include it.
