The 1618 Aslan Pasha Mosque dominates this enclosed area (which feels like an overgrown garden). You enter from a ramp near the kitchen of an Ottoman madrassa (or medresse, Islamic school). The mosque has been restored, and there are artifacts from the Muslim, Christian, and Jewish communities in the front entrance, while the worship area has been left as is.
