You can't do better for sit-down lunch or breakfast than Pargo Rojo. It's where you go when you feel like kicking back rather than rushing off on another excursion. The restaurant is in an antique wooden building with an open-air dining room, lofty ceilings, and a soothing north-shore breeze. It's casual, with plastic furniture and colorfully painted walls. Bernard, the Iranian immigrant who owns Pargo Rojo, serves up mostly American, Greek, and Thai food that is hearty yet not heavy. The menu features chicken wraps, blue-cheese burgers, pizzas, and salads, and creative takes on meats and seafood for hungrier diners; breakfast, too, is very good. The staff here are very amicable, but service is slower than on Monday.
