Housed in a converted home on busy Main Street, the newer, Italian/Spanish-owned Suite Hotel Costes has simple rooms with balconies and an interior patio with a surfer-style decor. For the price, the hotel is a good value, mainly because of its in-room amenities. My only caveat is that during busy holidays like Carnaval, when prices jump more than $30 per night, the location is less-than-ideal. Try to get a room in the back or on the second floor, as the bottom floor might put you a little too close for comfort with Main Street; also, ground-level rooms have cement floors while upstairs rooms have lovely wood floors. Guest rooms have been decorated in pastel, folksy paintings rendered by a local artist.
