Frommer's Review
The Swan's Cay Hotel has a convenient location next to the plaza, a waterfront swimming pool, and a lovingly restored antique lobby decorated with lots of dark mahogany wood, Persian rugs, and intricate Italian furnishings. The elegance of the common areas, which include a handsome, manicured outdoor patio and carved-wood balconies, certainly gives a promising first impression. But the hotel seems to have run out of steam when it got to the guest rooms. Standard doubles are terribly small and dark, with fluorescent bulbs for lighting. There are junior and regular suites, but in these the decor is worn and fussy, and there's no view. The hotel staff have an offhand way of making you feel more like a nuisance than a welcome guest, lending a certain Fawlty Towers feel to the establishment. Perhaps that is why the hotel never seems full. The aboveground, kid-friendly swimming pool is 2 blocks away from the shore. They also have a full-service restaurant with good local and international dishes.
