Frommer's Review
This is the foremost upscale hotel on Margarita. It has a slightly more elegant feel than the all-inclusive resorts that dominate the island. The rooms and facilities are all up to snuff, and there's a good range of restaurants and shops, both on the grounds and nearby. All the rooms come with a small private balcony and an angular view to the sea. The end units on the north tower, however, have larger balconies and full-on ocean views. The rooms are large, well-equipped and consistently maintained. However, if unadultured beach time is what you're after, you might want to head elsewhere. The Hilton is located on a relatively unspectacular small stretch of sand, although it is always calm and safe. Still, the hotel does have extensive and delightful pool areas. The casino here is one of the largest and swankiest on the island, and the hotel is a quick taxi ride away from both Porlamar and Pampatar. This hotel is extremely popular with business travelers, and it's often packed with conferences, conventions, and trade groups.
