Frommer's Review
Perched on a hilly slope and surrounded by arching palms, the Sister Moon is on a more secluded area of the island, about a 20-minute walk from the village. It's a funky, castaway-style place ideal for easygoing travelers who don't need much more than a bed, a hammock, and the sound of the crashing sea. Guest rooms are divided into cabin units. The quality of guest rooms here varies, but all are stripped-down, with stone floors, a basic bed, and a private bathroom. There are also bunk-bed units for backpackers who don't mind sharing. Their Rum Bar is popular, drawing surfers in occasionally after they've finished riding the waves that front the hotel -- keep in mind that the surf is pretty loud here most of the time. The property has places to just lounge around: on a terrace over the sea or beside their compact pool. There are never a lot of people here to share the place with so you have a sense of freedom. The boat ride here is $2.50 per person, doubled in the evening. Snorkeling gear is not for rent, so you'll need to bring your own. The hotel is a 2- to 3-minute walk from the pier.
