This 10-acre island, inspired by the works of the late Theodore Seuss Geisel, is awash in Day-Glo colors, whimsical architecture, and curved trees (the latter were downed and bent by Hurricane Andrew before the park acquired them). Needless to say, the main attractions here are aimed at the younger set, though anyone who loved the good Doctor as a child will enjoy some nostalgic fun on these rides. And those who aren't familiar with his work will enjoy the visuals -- Seussian art is like Dalí for kids.
A Late Debut -- After 7 years of klonking, bonking, jerking, and berking, the mini-monorail that hangs high over Seuss Landing (and has gone rider-less until now) is once again running. The High in the Sky Seuss Trolley Train Ride is a whimsical kid-friendly ride that runs along two separate tracks suspended high above Seuss Landing, and the park's latest addition. Traveling in individual "cars," you'll pass by several classic Seussian scenes and colorful characters -- with an occasional view of Seuss Landing below. Lines for this one can be excruciatingly long, but high-power fans will keep you cool while you wait.
