Frommer's Review
Located on a side street off the Galatasaray Fish Market, this small rustic meyhane is the one restaurant on this saturated stretch of restaurants that is consistently full. Boncuk serves delicacies such as fried brains (mmm . . .) and stuffed spleen, but thankfully there's a variety of more recognizable hot and cold mezes like kizir, flavorful and spicy bulgur balls, and topik, an Armenian specialty made of chickpea paste around a nucleus of onions and currants. Because availability is seasonal, try not to be too disappointed when the waiter informs you that your choice is not on the menu that day.
