If you have to stay near the airport, this is your best choice. The Sheraton Istanbul is at the Ataköy Marina, on the waterfront halfway between the airport (8km/5 miles) and the city center (10km/6 miles) and conveniently located pretty much at the Galleria Shopping Mall. Proving that the Sheraton knows pleasing design and comprehensive service, there isn't a (fee-based) amenity that they don't offer, from shoeshine, to an on-site drugstore, to the staff photographer. They do offer limited free shuttles into town. If you manage to score a package, it's probably worth it to book a room on the Club Floor, where you get normally fee-based amenities like bottled water, Wi-Fi, access to the fitness room, snacks, and complimentary breakfast, as well as a lounge and use of the fax, printer, and copier, for free.
